Liked this one even more than _Flight of Aquavit_.
This book answers (starting on p.168) the question hanging at the end of _Tapas on the Ramblas_. _Tapas_ had lots of fluff and fun and action. Action here is mostly Russell doing detective-y things. His work for one client family helps solve problems for many other characters. The characters are appealing, well-drawn, sympathetic, realistic. Family scenes are thoughtful, charming, affectionate.
Complex plot and sub-plots are well-developed, not confusing. The 'who' in whodunit is not obvious, but not a contrived surprise.
Mom is not a major factor in this book, in which Russell turns 35.
A few abused apostrophes and 'between her and I'-type errors should have been caught in editing.
