Another good entry in the Isaac Bell series from Cussler & Scott. I really enjoyed the previous two books in this series: The Chase and The Wrecker. This one is just as good with Bell on the track of a spy who is trying to destroy the United State's pursuit of developing a huge warship or dreadnought. The action takes place in 1908 mainly in and around New York City and involves some New York gang members who are paid to help "the spy." The identity of the spy was somewhat of a surprise to me - Cussler kept me guessing in this one. Overall, I would recommend "The Spy."

This third book of the Isaac Bell series is a great read. Cussler blends a good mystery story with lots of early 1900 culture references. Hope that there will be more of this series to follow!

Another great book from Clive Cussler. I particularly like the new Isaac Bell adventures. I like the period (c. 1906-1908 so far...) and the character is one of the best since Dirk Pitt. This particular novel was not quite up to the level of "The Chase" or "The Wrecker" but close enough to be very entertaining.

This is an Isaac Bell story set in the early 1900's about warships being readied for WW I.
It is not a Dirk Pitt book.

all his characters.

Interesting premise, interesting time to write about but a little far fetched for me. It's an enjoyable read if you suspend your beliefs and take it for what it is.

Classic Cussler - definitely my favorite writer - whether current or historical - no one does it better. You get hooked on the very first page and the pace never lets down.
So many twists and turns, you can't turn the pages fast enough.

The Isaac Bell series is filled with historical events and clever tidbits. Cussler brings to life the era so real you feel you are living (or have lived) in that time period.

Don't miss this series, it's one of his best!!
