explains how this modern martial art stems from ancient traditions of Japan. Written by William Gleason (studied for more than 20 years), a fifth degree black belt offers insight to the founder of aikido - Morihei Ueshiba.

I thought I had nothing to gain from this book since I don't study a marial art, but wrong!, it is an incredible insight into the join between us and the universal energy.

Illustrated and photography-rich, this is a basic to advanced book - I especially liked the section on breathing! If you haven't done anything to try to unify your _chi_ (here _ki_) this is the volume for you. It really is priceless for the student of Aikido!
