I'm not exactly sure why people would rate this a four star since Feehan's books have been sliding lower and lower om tbr list. This is boring and predictable and I didn't even finish it. Her books are becoming the same monotonous mish mash of words with the outcome and endings all the same. It's getting to the point that I can read the back cover and know the total premise of the book without reading what is inside anymore. I have to say that I think she is losing her touch and has run out of new material.

I've always snatched up any book I see by Christine Feehan but this one was a bit of a disappointment. Still better than most books released but not on par with the Drake Sisters and other Sea Haven books. It appears the entire book was written around a few days of when Stefan and Judith first meet culminating in them getting married by the end of the week. During that time there are numerous sexual encounters, bloody fights and supernatural events. I just felt that the book was a rushed with not enough time spent on interacting with the surrounding locals.

I enjoyed this continuation of the Sea Haven series about the Russian brothers with para normal powers. First was Illya, then Lev, and now Stephan. These guys are so fasinating, how they retained their humanity after their brutal upbringing and training. The heroine is one of the 5 bonded sisters, each with a specific affinity with an element - water,fire,air, and earth. Judith actually enhances any & all of them, besides being a truly gifted artist. The romance was top notch and the action was almost non-stop with some obvious flaws such as no one calls the sheriff when there was a gunfight, no one was hurt from the huge bear traps set up in town and terrific storms that were so self contained there was no property damage or injuries. It was great that Lev & Rikki played a major part in the story. The heroine had major trust issues from her past to work through and with Stephan keeping secrets of his own this was the source of the romantic conflict. My only problem was not enough information regarding Stephan's abilities, some of which (telekenesis) were major and some just came at you under the radar. And Jonas, that all knowing all seeing sheriff had not a clue what was going on. All in all a good read and looking forward to the next brother's installment.. or maybe it will be the next sister.

A agree with the previous posts, this was disappointing. I usually love Christine's books. However, I had a hard time with the characters in this book. They were predictible and unahppy. I am not through the book yet, but I have started skipping sections. Usually I don't make it all the way through a book when I start skipping and skimming. Hmmm. I hope the next one is better. :(

I am wondering if my enchantment with Feehan books are fading because the her last three releases were a bit of a disapointment. I didn't hate this one but it wasn't up to par with her past books.
There was a lot of repetion. I kept thinking to myself, "Didn't you just say that three paragraphs ago?" I felt like she could have done a better job editing. The characters and the feel of this book are also too similar to the Drake sisters' novels (but those were way better). Here Feehan ties in with the Drake sisters by casually mentioning them or throwing a few scenes where Jonas and Alex acted more like bumbling small town cops. Not sure why she bothered mentioning them in the first place. It seems like if she was going to tie the new series to the old one, Feehan should have integrated the characters a bit better.
The characters were all likeable until towards the end. The ending itself was rather lame but I won't give it away. It's very rushed as well. But Judith comes off really pathetic and desperate when Stefan betrays her trusts at least twice and she forgives him very easily. In fact he doesn't have to do anything to earn her trust back. Guess with her power, her men options are limited but still, can't the woman have a little pride?
Overall it was an okay book, but I'm not sure I really want to continue with the series. I definitely won't spend any real money on Feehan's new stuff anymore.
