While I have enjoyed some of Marsh's books, this one isn't among them. I actually gave up about half-way through. While the setting (a cliff-side chateau and a picturesque French village) is interesting, there was too much Troy and Ricky for my taste, and the whole cult thing was a drag. Strangely, there is a French town named Roqueville, but it does not hug the coast of the Mediterranean, as pictured in the book.
