Like most of the "Forgotten Realms" books, this one reads very much like a Dungeons and Dragons game (I'm willing to bet the author spent some time as a Dungeon Master).

Not a bad book, but very run-of-the-mill fantasy. If you enjoy the straight-up Dungeons and Dragons fare, then you'll like this book.

the storyline seemed some what childish, I love fantasy books that seem almost realistic and this one did not. I did finish the book in record time so that at least ment that the story itself was interesting enough.
