Not a super huge Wizard of Oz fan, but I do like fairy tale retellings. This has enough of originality to stand well on it's own and familiarity that fans of Oz would also like it. This was funny, but also dragged in parts.
I think I would have liked this much more had I actually liked Dorothea. She is so spoiled and it took a long time (I thought) for her to get over herself. She is much better by the end. Kato and Rexi were enjoyable characters. I also liked the pop culture references.

"True love is like a stalactite meeting a stalagmite. Complete opposites, but with time, calcium, and a healthy drip system, they meet in the middle. Or one crushes the other. It really depends."
