Laugh out loud funny - wickedly erotic hero and cute but lovable heroine make this one book you will want to read again and again!

This is book 8 in the series. I just love these time travel romance novels. KMM takes me back to a time when romance novels where more descriptive and sexual. In fact I even recently received Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon and can't wait to read it as I was told this is very similar to KMM.
The story into which Spell of the Highlander is embedded is fascinating. It is a story that spans KMM's Highlander series, and leads into her brand new 'Fever' series. The book is worth reading just to understand key elements of this overall epic! In fact it is a must have.
Cian is a powerful Druid, and there are reasons to believe that his time being trapped in the mirror was by design, to bring him forward, with his kinsmen, also trapped in the 21st century from the 16th century, to fight an epic battle that is still to come in the series. But the fun part is watching this arrogant former Celtic Laird from the 9th century make adjustments to dealing with a modern woman and modern society. He is an old fashioned man with the manners of a caveman, but also one of the most compelling characters in this genre today. And watching him interact with his kinsmen, protagonists from other books by the same author, is priceless!

I gave this book only 4 stars, but that's the most I would ever give a paranormal romance book. Definitely 5 stars within it's own genre. Writing, characters, plot are all excellent. I hadn't read the other books in the series, but don't think I missed a lot because as far as I could tell previous characters did not appear until the last 1/4 of the book. The book is a satisfying read on it's own as it does not end in cliffhangers like the author's Darkfever series. Entertaining. Sexy!

Like all of her books - my absolute two favorite things - time travel and huge Scottish highlanders with 20th century women!!!! Continuance of the story - Love you Dageus!

This is a great book, I got it on a whim and was so glad I did. It is a series of books dealing with magic and highlanders and the women they meet. The story lines are amazing and the characters are well-developed. The sex is so fantastic. I love a good story and even better with some great fantastic drawn out sex. So, if are secretly wishing for a man who knows what he wants and demands it, then you had better get yourself hooked onto this series.
