Speaking From Among the Bones - Flavia de Luce, Bk 5
Author: Alan Bradley
When the tomb of St. Tancred is opened at the village church in Bishop's Lacey, its shocking contents lead to another case for Flavia de Luce. Greed, pride, and murder result in old secrets coming to light--along with a forgotten flower that hasn't been seen for half a thousand years.

It is always a delight to spend time with Flavia, her family, and her community. I fully agree with the Boston Globe reviewer who described Flavia as a cross between Eloise and Sherlock Holmes. What amazes me about the writing is that although it is told from Flavia's point of view, you are still able to "get" the undercurrents between adults that don't make sense to her as a 12 year old. The only frustration with this book is the enormity of the cliffhanger and the wait we'll have to endure until the next book comes out.
