Starts out very slow and I was somewhat confused by all the different characters that are interwoven into this story, but as I "got to know them" they all fell into place and it really became a great book about the revolution in France, right after the beheadings of King Louis and Marie Antoinette. I wanted to know what happened to Philippa and Andrew so I kept reading late into the night. I would defiantely read another by Diana Norman.
