Incredible world building, likable characters with realistic relationships and flaws. Fun twisty mystery, cute service dog, and lots of different pronouns. I'm torn between being delighted and irritated by the "is this the first book?" feeling I had while reading. Now I also want to know if there will be a second...
If you are looking for a fun romp through the galaxy with a little whodunit mixed in, then this is your story. If you are looking for a more dramatic, edge of your seat mystery, then look somewhere else.
The story for this one was okay. There was nothing spectacular about the mystery and the revealing at the end but the journey getting there was what the adventure was all about. With a great line of characters and some hilarious moments, it made the story enjoyable.
