This is an excellent book of short fiction by one of the most criminally overlooked masters of science fiction and horror. The stories included in this 1964 Ballantine Paperback Edition (hence no ISBN) include; The Draw, The Young One, Laboratory, The Good Dog, One Way Street, Small War, Trace, Angels In The Jets, The Battle Of The Bells, The Magic Typewriter, and The Bad Life.

Not All About the Technology

Too much science fiction focuses on the machines and the technology. This book is a rarity, in that it also addresses human issues like how the technology affects social interactions, or how emotions affect the science. The last one is a bit odd, but most of these stories are excellent. Jerome Bixby is hard to find, which is unfortunate -- he's a terrific writer.
