I love this book. I bought it in hardback back in the early 80s when it first came out. RM Brown can create the most vivid, memorable characters, so real that you almost bleed for them. I wouldn't get rid of my copy of this for anything. This one is by far my favorite of hers.

unusually frank and incisive.... I enjoyed this book, though at times the sexual stuff is a bit over the top...

This book was facinating and fun. It's a historical romantic drama set in the early 1900's with interesting characters and a pretty good depiction of what life was like living in the South back then. I enjoyed it a lot.
