This is another great Louis Kincaid mystery. Louis finds himself back in Michigan where his girl friend Joe is an undersheriff getting ready to run for seriff. They end up working a cold case Louis was previously envolved in. While searching an old farm house, they find a young girl who appears to be out of contact with reality hiding in the kitchens cabinet. Her memories of characters from the past involved in the underground railroad and the escape of a slave named John brings them in contact with a child psychiatrist who tries to help to unravel the mystery. Joe becomes very involved with the welfare of the young girl and the story revolves. Loius also gets a surprise from his past. This is one of those books that leaves you wanting to know more about the characters which will happen in the next book of the Kincaid series. Can't wait for the next one to come on the market!
One phone call and Louis Kincaid heads to Michigan from his Florida home. A great mystery unfolds there and some events go back to his college days. Great suspense from a series that gets better with each book.
These two sisters are wonderful authors and I am so happy to see they started writing again! This is another of their great stories with extra insights into Louis Kincaids life!! Enjoy!!
I just could not get into this one. I have read more by these authors in the past, but for whatever reason, I could not make it through this one. Just seemed boring.
Sometimes it takes 100 pages or more to get the story going but this one didn't, I think it is written really well and as you read you find it hard to put it down.
Good book, easy reading. Keeps your attention!
