In this book Annja goes to Russia at the request of a friend and finds a mad scientist that turns normal people into supper monsters. One of the most unusual Rogue Angel books yet but very good. It was very hard to put down.

This latest installment is pure action and excitement from beginning to end. While hardcore Rogue Angel fans may be disappointed that there are no actual archaeological digs or no relic/artifacts in this story, no conspiracy (well, there is one, but its loose) there is a huge mystery and plenty of creepy bad guys. And Annja kicks butt as always.

I had no problems with a character [Bob] being introduced as an old friend who had not appeared in a previous book. I have read other books in the series, and it did not bothered me.

I wasn't bothered by the decision making of the characters. While I didn't agree with every decision that every character made it didn't take away from the story. People have been known to make decisions that are not always the brightest.

The descriptions of the characters and setting were perfect. You were able to picture things in your mind's eye without being bogged down in the details.

Bottom line I found this book to be an excellent blend of action adventure, science fiction and mystery. Not heavy on any one genre but an enjoyable blending of all three.
