Much better than the second book. This one had great detail and a plot twist that you had to work at to see coming. I liked this book almost as much as the first one!

Cant wait for #4!

My Soul to Keep (Soul Screamers, Book 3) brings us back to the world of Kaylee Cavanaugh, teen-aged bean sidhe. Kaylee, still adjusting to life with her recently returned father, is finally finished with her grounding from her last adventure when the Netherworld rears its ugly head in her home town. It appears that some of the students in her school, friends of Nash, are inhaling Demon's Breath for a high, unaware of its otherworldly origins or of its deadly consequences.

Kaylee and Nash set out to protect the student body from the highly dangerous Demon's Breath, but all is not as it seems. Nash's behavior is erratic and he keeps trying to Influence Kaylee. Both Emma and Sophie are wrapped up in things via their respective boyfriends, and Kaylee can't know for sure how much danger either of them are in. She wants to go to the adults for help but Nash keeps stopping her. The whole story seems a bit disjointed before things finally click into place for Kaylee and, vicariously, for the reader. Once the core of the story begins to unwind, we see that all roads lead to Avari, the hellion whose attempt to snatch Kaylee's soul was thwarted in My Soul to Save (Soul Screamers Book 2). I won't tell you how things develop to this point, but once Avari is revealed, things begin to make a little more sense and the action begins to pick up. Kaylee must make some difficult choices and take a long, hard look at who is truly on her side.

In My Soul to Keep (Soul Screamers, Book 3), Kaylee begins to grow up. She has to make difficult decisions based on what is right, not on what she wants. She also seems to have made an enemy in Avari, bringing Netherworld into her life on terms other than her own. Her actions in previous books are coming back to either benefit her or make her re-evaluate the consequences of her previous decisions. Overall, I think that this book represents a turning point in the series. Kaylee is maturing, the problems are getting bigger and the villain is badder. It seems as if the character relationships will be more complex in the coming stories which will benefit the series' longevity.

I so love this unique series. The idea of bean sidhes, reapers, the Netherworld, proxys, Demon's Breath as a drug, it's all so new and refreshing. It was so enjoyable to dive into this world again. I've really come to love the characters of these books, and really connect with all of them on one level or another. Kaylee is a strong teen voice that is vulnerable and yet she manages to save the day over and over again. Nash is a great male lead, you really connect with the relationship and feelings between him and Kaylee. I absolutely adore Tod, he's so funny and snarky, yet you can tell he really cares for his family and Kaylee. He's really greiving over the loss of Addy in the last book.

I knew that I really enjoyed this book when I had so many emotions going through my system. I felt like the betrayal happened to me, the pain was mine, the tears and smiles and laughter, all mine. There was so much action and suspense that it kept me on the edge of my seat turning the pages from beginning to end. This series deals with alot of dark topics, death, addiction, sex. There are alot of hard choices that these characters have to make and they are all done well. I can't wait for the next installment in this series, I'm so excited to see where Rachel will take Kaylee next.

Something evil from the Netherworld is infiltrating Kaylee and Nash's high school scene - Demon's breath. The kids are calling it frost and it is quickly becoming the new popular way to get high. Kaylee and Nash know just how dangerous Demon's breath is.

While trying to save their friends, one of whom is already addicted to the frost, something comes between them. Kaylee will have to decide how to save her friends without the help of her boyfriend.

I so enjoy this series! It's just so engaging. I fly through the books and am lost in them. The writing is engrossing and the characters trap you in. And it's something different from the other paranormal books out there.

Once again, I really liked Kaylee. She's just a great, down-to-earth character. But I have to say that Nash disappointed me this time around (which I think he was supposed to). After reading the last book in the series, MY SOUL TO SAVE, I grew to really like Tod. And now, I think I might like him more than I like Nash.

Hopefully, Nash can redeem himself in the next book, MY SOUL TO STEAL, but I have to wait until January for the chance to read it!

Poor Kaylee, she can never catch a break. This one revolves around demon crack (or Frost as they call it). The high school boys are into breathing Frost and it is destroying their souls and their minds. Kaylee and Nash are trying to find the source so they can eliminate the threat to their friends.

Just like the other books in this series, I really enjoyed the interplay between Kaylee, Nash and Tod. Nash's betrayal is simply shocking and oh, so unexpected. Tod might be a grim reaper but he is surprisingly personable and loyal. I can't wait til January to pick up book #4 [book:My Soul to Steal|8487363] so I can find out if Nash redeems himself and if Avari is finally stopped.
