Good read about a sooterkin-a monstrous, mythical creature born to women in Holland several centuries ago. Is Arthur a sooterkin or a seal pup born to Sarah Dyer? A mystery or a fraud? You decide.

A strange and unusual story that I thought I might not like, but did. Good variety of characters. A pleasant entertaining read.

This is a inventive story and funny. The author makes descriptions, etc. about the characters and made me laugh out loud. You can picture these people because he describes them so well and he satisfies what happens to each character. It's like a late 1800 to early 1900 fairy tale about Australia.
