I am an Emergency Physician. This book demonstrates the realities of practicing Emergency Medicine in the USA today. I am giving it to my wife to read next so she can see some of the stresses that I face on a daily basis.

The author has a very smooth way of writing about very difficult things.

Paul Austin gives you an open and honest account about what it is like to work as an ER Doctor and how his work schedule effected his family life. You can feel the human emotion coming through and his need to better himself for the sake of his job and his family. Easy quick read because of his great story telling.

I got this book as a swap from this site and I'm glad I chose it! I loved reading this book and the doctor who wrote it wrote with honesty. He tells the good and the bad and helps all of us who are not doctors understand the pressure and responsibility that ER doctors face on a daily basis.
