You should read "Something Borrowed" before you read this book, but you could read it on its own. This book is about Darcy, who after reading "Something Borrowed", I felt was a really self absorbed person and a terrible friend. I was surprised that Giffin decided to write a continuation of "Something Borrowed" from Darcy's point of view, and more surprised that Darcy redeems herself. Instead of focussing on the betrayal of her best friend and fiance, Darcy has to reevaluate her life and eventually starts to work on her own character, but she stumbles quite a bit on the way. She finds herself pregnant and moves to England to start over, crashing at a friends apartment while she regroups. Good story about it never being too late to grow up and change.

Like many readers, I didn't think I'd enjoy this because Darcy was such a destable character in Something Borrowed. She's much more stomachable, even likable, in Something Blue, and it's interesting to see the earlier events filtered through her decided and defiant tone.

I really enjoyed this book! Darcy isn't the most likable character at first, but she did grow on me. I liked the ending despite hearing mixed reviews about it. Definitely a book I would recommend if you liked the previous novel Something Borrowed.

This is a excellent book about friendship and love. I would also recommend that you read "Somthing Borrowed" s this is the second in the series. The characters are very well developed and there will be something in the book that you can relate to. You could take this book to the beach or on vacation, enjoy and still get somthing out of it.

This book follows "Something Borrowed" in the new series by Emily Giffin. I must warn you, if you haven't read Something Borrowed, read it before reading this. You'll definitely feel like you're missing pieces of the puzzle if you don't. With that said, this was a fantastic book. At the end of Something Borrowed, I found myself hating Darcy with passion. This book puts a completely different spin on the story and kind of leaves you with a soft spot for Darcy. A good read. I took it to the beach on vacation and had SUCH a hard time putting it down.

What can I say...I loved this book! IMO this book was way better than the first book "Something Borrowed". I always root for characters like Darcy. I guess I just love a flawed heroine seeking redemption. I loved her character growth, her struggles, and mostly her inner thoughts. I really loved Darcy's perspective on the whole situation from the first book. This book gave her more depth and boy did she need it. She came of as such a shallow bitch in bk 1. This book had me laughing and crying. Which to me equates a good book. Would love to see them make this one into a movie like they did with the first book. This is must read chick lit!!!

Loved this book! It was interesting how they took the "bad" girl character from the previous book and then made her likeable!

What happens when you have it all and then lose it... to your dowdy best friend??? This question is asked and answered in this fun, easy Chick Lit style book.

Something Blue is the follow up book to Something Borrowed. This is an excellent follow up to the first book. All of the same characters make cameos in this book as well. I found myself really rooting for Darcy to do well, something I never would have thought after reading the first book. This is a very quick read and an excellent story!

Class chick lit that's well written, fun to read, and hard to put down.

I was quite skeptical of this book because it shifts to the dreaded spoiled brat Darcy's point of view. As I read I made peaces with her over her own changes. Despite a little meloncholy I have for the ending I do like this book. I like way Emily Griffin writes. Its especially grand for us late twenty or early thirty something readers.
