Before picking up this book, I wasn't familiar with any of the three authors Candace Schuler, Margaret Way or Susan Fox. All three stories are contemporary; two take place in the US and the final one is an Australian Outback story.
WILDCAT (by Candace Schuler) Simply stated, I dont care much for characters that are drop-dead gorgeous and wildly wealthy. Just how difficult can their lives really be?
If the main two characters had had an honest conversation, instead of constantly baiting each other, this could have been a much shorter tale. This was so boring, it took forever to finish.
THE BLACK SHEEP (by Susan Fox) This was a unique story about the death of one best friend (Angie Cantrell) and the black sheepification of the other (Willa Ross). Five years later, Willa returns to her old home upon the passing of her Uncle Cal.
Hoping to see some tempering of the hate aimed at Willa after five long years, she instead finds continued hostility and anger. Her Aunt Tess, begs her to stay at her home and take over the reins of the ranch. Willa promises to stay until she can hire a foreman and a couple of workers because Clay Cantrell, Angies brother, doesn't want her around any longer than absolutely necessary.
DIAMOND VALLEY (Margaret Way) This story was so boring and convoluted, that I couldn't finish it.

I completely loved the first two stories (by Candace Schuler and Susan Fox), but I just couldn't get into the last one (by Margaret Way).
Margaret Way was a new author to me and the writing style made me wonder if it was written in another language, then translated to English. I had trouble keeping up with the push/pull relationship of the main characters (did they like each other or not??) and couldn't connect with them at all. It was kind of disappointing after two such great stories to end the book on a down note.
All in all, definitely worth a credit. You still get two great novels for the price of one. I would suggest reading the third story first if you plan to read it at all. That way, the book only gets better for you.
