Let me start by saying that I'm a Mary Balogh fan. Summer to Remember is one of my top all-time favorite romances and, in this series, I loved Viola's story. Elizabeth was an important character from Book One on and I hoped she would have her own wonderful happily-ever-after. Unfortunately, this did not occur. There are so many things I disliked about this book: how her vicious ex-husband was explained away, the disregard for Wren's pain in regards to her narcissistic mother, and the bogus circumstances that brought on Elizabeth and Colin's marriage. But my biggest issue is that Ms. Balogh did not spend enough time building the romance and love between the couple. The wedding night was anticlimactic (no pun intended!) and did not convince me that they were more than just friends.

There is another Someone title in the works. I hope the next couple (Abigail? Henry?) will have a better story.

First of all, this is more novella than full length book.

This plot felt like MB wanted to tie off both Lizzie and Colin's story lines by matching them together instead of in separate novels. I like them both, but too many loose strings were snipped off, along with the main romance. This felt too rushed and abrupt, like a writing exercise gone long.
