My mom read this first and told me I shouldn't. I'm glad I didn't listen to her. I enjoyed it even though It was heartwrenching and I cried through most of it. I think it made me appreciate my vet and her assistants more than I do. I absolutely understand the emotions since I have lost several kitties to cancer and went through the treatments with a couple. A must for those of us that love our furbabies. 4 stars

Overall a good read.

Book really discusses cases the author has been involved with mainly - cats with cancer.

Book might mean a little more to me, since I lost a cat to cancer and was told nothing could be done - no treatments were available.

I have to say I was amazed by the treatments given to the cats in this book. This book was published in '83 so makes one wonder how far that field has come since then.
