Until Sophie nearly loses her life in a kidnapping, she doesn't realize how much she has missed out on her family life by pursuing her career in international law. She moves to a small town in New York to reconnect with her son, daughter, and new grandson. There she re-evaluates her life and becomes involved with Noah, a country vet. Ms. Wiggs has the ability to create multi-faceted characters that will resonate with the reader. Although, I don't believe this is her best book, it is a fine read that will provide hours of enjoyment.
