Tangled emotions and tragedy and one,s response to them is an interesting read, as always, with this author. I could not put this book down.

love this book.
Meg has had a rough time since her husband died, leaving her with tangled emotions, recriminations and guilt. Now her daughter has run away. Sheriff Earl looks after Meg and Allie, but cannot let his love and desire for his best friend's widow make her life harder.
This is one of the best books I've read in quite awhile. It deals with secrets, relationships and tangled emotions. A real page turner---I gave it 5 stars.
