I have conflicted thoughts about this book. The motive for the killing is patently obvious, especially to anyone who has ever had dealings with Catholic clergy (especially as children in their care.) Most of the time the story sort of drags as we are introduced to the various characters, all well drawn, however. It picks up steam and interest in the last part, and in the end I can recommend it.
