Janine and her husband Robert started to attend sex parties, during which Janine secretly photographs men and sends the pictures to them to "rattle" them, even to her own husband. Soon she is shot dead. Her husband's father is the chief of police and tries to obstruct the investigation. Inspector Challis is fighting an uphill battle, and when a notebook computer with sensitive information is stolen from his house, a journalist murdered, and he is starting to develop feelings for his fellow detective Ellen, things become complicated. In the end, it's the one whom you never suspected.
Not bad as a mystery, and an interesting read, but too many coincidences involving a small set of people. And - I found the main characters increasingly unsympathetic as I read on.
