I read 1/2 of this novel and then decided it wasn't worth my time. I could not get emotionally invested in the main character. All the whining/complaining of a frazzled, unorganized, slacker mom was just too much for this slacker mom to take.

This book is a fun, lighthearted read - but one that also has well drawn characters and deep insights into motherhood. Some of the situations you have to take with a grain of salt, but most of the experiences the protagonist has are spot on. I am a mother so I can appreciate much of what she writes and I laughed out loud many times. I would definitely recommend this book to all of my mom friends. Overall I liked this book but did find the plot to be slow. The writing sytle, sentence struture and word choice was above average which kept me reading.

I really enjoyed this book. Had a few laugh out loud moments and the craziness all moms can relate to as we try to hold everything together

Very funny at times, this is an interesting story about a mom in London.

I had a hard time getting into the plot. It was slow until the last few pages. Even as a stay at home mom, I couldn't relate to the main character at all. I agree that it was a little depressing at times.

I'm a stay at home mom and this book just made me depressed... I didn't even read more then a chapter.

I enjoyed this book. It made me laugh quite a bit and I bought a copy for my favorite new Mommy and it made her laugh as well. It creates the modern "striving to succeed but failing humorously" vibe that made Bridget Jones Diary and the Shopaholic series so entertaining.
