Marylou is in love with Herbie and leaves him poems in the garden. Herbie tries to do the same, but always chooses somewhere that Marylou will miss the messages. He finally gets one to her that has been written on the highest tomatoes. She writes one on the barn roof, so they can meet.

Why I recommend it: They keep missing each other, so I wanted to find out what happened when they met. The poems are short and they rhyme.
