A stark and honest tale of a horrendous life caring for Alzhiemer's patients. It wasn't enough to take care of her husband for nearly 20 years, but eventually her own mother as well, both of them simultaneously. Both were loud and combative. In the case of her husband, he was at first physically strong, but demented enough to attack without provocation or warning. She lived in fear of him. Then her picky, critical mother moved in. Feeding, bathing, diapering 24/7 with the help from two nurses. Not something most people could or would ever want to endure. She is medically and politically active to get help with the disease before the current generation of aging Baby Boomers collapses into Alzheimer's helplessness. Sad, but enlightening reading. D.
