Though I am a fan of Julie Garwood's historial romances I was not thrilled with her turn to the contemporary genre. I decided to give the books a chance via audio...and I am really glad I did.
The heroine, Kate is a strong woman with good values...the realization that someone is trying to kill her for an unknown reason...added with the sexual tension with her best friend's brother (a detective recovering from a work-related injury)...keeps the listener engaged in the story. Twist and turns in the plot with more and more suspects added as the story unfolds...a surprise end to the suspense plus a happy ending...ahhh, romances!
I couldn't stop listening...spent the day transporting the CDs from my player downstairs to my computer upstairs to my car...just wanting to see...who the perp turned out to be!!
