I got this book because the author and I have the same name so, of course, I had to read it. It's what I would call a "beach read"--fast, easy, and light. It's about what's going on at a CA college in the 1970s. I attended college at that time so was interested in seeing how that time period was portrayed. There was a "cast of characters" list at the front. I found that helpful and referred to it periodically.

The school had several problems and a new president had just arrived. The president had some good ideas. Things took a shocking turn near the end (I didn't see that coming)
