This one was one of the better of the "slightly" series! I loved the main female character and how her relationship evolved with her family and her rake!

This book started off at a very slow pace. I was bored with the first half. But with the couple's return to London and the scandal that erupts, the story became very interesting. My rating: 4 Stars.

If you count the prequels One Night For love and A Summer To Remember then this is the 6th in the Bedwyn series-Morgan's story. As always another great story. I like how she includes the characters from the previous stories, like visits from old friends. The book has the usual humor but keep the box of tissues handy about half way through the book.

i have read her whole series so far and found thm to be well written, not mushy, and actually tell a story opposed to having just sez scenes thru out.

Great romance novel.
Entertaining Regency era romance, the story of Lady Morgan Bedwyn and the notorious rake Gervase Ashford, Earl of Rosthorn.
English Regency romance. I usually enjoy Mary Balough's books. I did enjoy this one.
Enjoyable addition to the Bedwyn series. Morgan is an interesting heroine, who both acknowledges her extreme youth (she's only 18) and yet has wisdom beyond her years. I'm not sure that Gervase was as convincing as either hero or lover, he was certainly the weaker of the two characters. The book was paced rather slowly for my taste, it took too long for things to get moving with either the romance or the overall plot. However I thought part of what Balogh conveyed was important, the buildup to Waterloo and the aftermath were critical to the story, kind of mirroring the relationship in a way.
As compared to the other books, this was perhaps not the best, but an important setup in the next couple books.

An excellent chapter of the Bedwyn series, this one involving the youngest of the Bedwyns, Morgan.
Fourth in the "Slightly" series, wonderful story, the characters are intriguing and delightful, a must-read!
A Must Read
Morgan was a great character. She had so much spirit and did what she needed to do. What I like about Balogh's books is that no one is a villain. There are things people do bad things and make mistakes. It was a thoroughly entertaining book.
As usual, Mary Balogh, has written an entrancing story with wonderful characters. I could hardly put this one down!
