ISBN 1575846659 - Obviously not a book for everyone, Sleepytime Prayers is an incredibly cute board book for toddlers in praying households. It's almost too bad that that's the case, because this thing is really, really cute. I don't find cute a compelling thing, but kids do! The pages are of the same sturdy cardboard as many board books, but are less sturdy because of the protruding animals that will bend, break and be bumped.

On one page is a little information about God, who he is, what he does, etc. On the facing page is a very short prayer of thankfulness for those things. Each page has a tab that extends beyond the book itself, making it easy it grasp - and to tear.

By no means a fan of prayer or religion, I couldn't help but like this book. The animal tabs are adorable, even if they are more fragile than the rest of the book. The text is simple enough for young children and even contains questions, to keep them engaged in the reading. A matching book, ISBN 1860243924 Daytime Prayers (Prayer Board Books), will round out the (very small) collection nicely!
