Excellent!! This book had me turning pages way into the night! There are so many twists and turns. Mick is a cop housesitting her Uncles house during the holidays. Jason thinks the house is empty while the owner is away on vacation. During the robbery Mick and Jason discover photo's of a murder and quickly realize that now their lives are in jeopardy. They have to try to stay one step ahead or die. This is a must read!!

This book is definitely NOT her best work. The heroine Mikayla (Mick) is a cop and Jason is a thief. She surprises him in the act and and judo/karate's the crap out of him before uncovering damning pictures of her "Uncle Nico" participating in a gruesome murder. This turns into an action-packed chase and story of dirty cops and organized crime. This story takes place in the space of about 10 days. There is very little romance, and I can't believe that after less than two weeks Mick and Jason profess to be 'in love'. I'd have to say 'in lust' but there just wasn't enough of that kind of emotion to convince me.

Story was interesting, but quick. Also so confusing for a Michigan resident. Robards talks about Ypsilanti, Detroit, Metro Airport, and Willow Run airport. I live in Ypsilanti, friend works at Willow Run, and I am often in Detroit, but Robards definitely used her author's license in depicting the locations of these places relative to each other and their characteristics. So if you do not know these places, you'll enjoy the story. If you do know the places, be prepared to be confused.
