I would not recommend this book. I gave it a half star. Filled with sex, drugs, hate....I didn't even find erotic in any way. To read what he does to her, its unbelievable. Don't bother wasting a credit.

Honestly one of the worst books I have ever read. There seemed to be no plot, the heroine often seemed incredibly stupid and without reason, the only interesting characters got maybe a page of the story, and the ending was just horrible. I usually love Holt but this was pure garbage.

Vanessa Marlow is a psuedonum for Cheryl Holt. And I normally like Holt with the exception of her last few releases. Unfortunately this one also falls way off its mark. This book is described as a novel of sensual obsession but to me it wasn't sensual at all. Sensual implies love or at the very least affection. However, the sex scenes were dry, stilted, controlling. It's about a psychopath luring a normal woman into his crazy world of obsession, mental, physical and sexual abuse. There's no love here. I enjoy erotica and have read my fair share, but this doesn't qualify. It makes me wonder why a romance/erotica novelist would want to write something so disturbingly unappealing.

Wow! Kinda creepy but great ending! This made me really ponder some of the crazy things you hear about on the news and read in the paper. This is a very eye opening book but not for the soft-hearted.

I started this book with an open mind. The reviews had been poor, but I love Cheryl Holt's books even though she uses the same scenes in many of her books. However, the book just didn't deliver. It left so much unsaid in limbo. Could have been better.

This book was awful!!! Why anyone would write something so disturbing is beyond me. I hated the main character all the way through the book and was horrified at the things she let be done to her. I felt like there was no real plot to it. All it was about was a psychopath who zeroed in on some poor soul tormenting and abusing her mentally and physically the whole book. I was upset for days after reading it !!
