This book is a collection of 3 mysteries all starring the Navajo characters of Leaphorn and Chee. The 2 men are quite interesting in and of themselves. Both are extremely intelligent, dedicated cops. The story lines are intriquing and move along at a good pace. The author devotes enough time to the human side of the characters, showing their vulnerabilities and strengths. I found myself liking both men, learning a bit about Navajo culture and getting quite involved in their plights. I would recommend this book.
