If my husband were as much of a jerk as Chaz, this is exactly what I'd want to do to him! Hilarious. A revenge fairytale. Reminded me of "Burn Notice." I will definitely listen to another Hiaasen - completely entertaining.

This was my first book by this author and defiantly not my last. This was such a funny book it kept me laughing through out the book. You could relate to the characters and were rooting for the wife through out the book and what happened to the husband was what he deserved. It was nice seeing the wife fall in love again with a new man. This book is a page turner and you will want to keep reading to find out what happens next.

I picked this book up on a cruise ship the night I got on the ship. What a book to read the first night of a cruise. With the subject getting thrown off the back of a ship on the first few pages. It is a outloud laughing fun mystery. One of Hiaasen's great humor fun stories.. You will enjoy it for sure. slnsred

Loved it! Chaz is an idiot and a jerk, but they have some fun toying with him! A few different story lines to go along with the main plot. Entertaining. Narrated well.

Another Hiaasen classic. Comic crime stories don't get any better than this.

Funny! This reminded me of The Lives and Loves of a She-Devil. Ah, revenge can be so sweet! Had me laughing for more than one car trip. Much funnier in audio than the book: I don't often laugh out loud when I read.

This is my first Carl Hiaasen book and I have to say that I'm really surprised and I loved it! It's unusual to find a murder mystery with humor and this book was written with it mixed in so well, it definatly did not distract from the storyline at all. Although this isn't your average blood and guts murder mystery, there are enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that there was no "romance" mixed in to mess up the story. There is a hint here and there about some romance to come, but Mr. Hiaasen doesn't go into it, thereby leaving the story pure, thank God. I get tired of having to fast forward past the romance crap just to get back to the real story. If I wanted romance, I'd read a romance novel! Anyway, I plan to read more of Carl Hiaasen in the future and I highly recommend it to you if you like mystery with a touch of humor mixed in. A refreshing twist from the average mystery novel.
