Amusing. Ultimately, though, a one-note song. Others must find it more illuminating, given its best-seller status.
Not an instruction manual for _how_ to diagram. Shows examples of diagrammed sentences. Contains some memories from the author; some recollections/quotations from authors; some complicated sentences diagrammed well; some sentences that the author does not attempt to diagram.
The author does not take the approach that all students would be better educated if all were taught to diagram. She does not aver that modern education is inferior to (allegedly) more rigorous education from The Olden Days.
