Loved this book! The storyline is very well set up and the characters are well developed. I couldn't put the book down. The book has suspence, danger, romance, and overall enjoyable.
I enjoyed this book so much! I really liked Naphre and Alastor together. I did think the ending was a bit rushed (and abrupt). The who and why of Lokan's murder is still just as much of a mystery as in book 1. There was a suggestion or inkling of just where Lokan might be and the question of who sent Naphre and Alastor there(Jigoku) was unresolved. This is a 4 book series, so answers should be forthcoming in the next 2!
This is the second book of the Soul Reaper series. I haven't read the other books yet but I was really impressed with this one. Alaster and Naphre have great chemistry. I like when the three brothers interact with each other because there is a certain humor and sweetness about it. Alaster is a control freak and Naphre is germ phobic. The characters are interesting but not overly plastic and generic.
Just to warn you, it's one of those series where there is an ongoing plot with each book so don't expect everything to be resolved at the end of the book. I like all the different gods and goddesses/myths Silver uses.
The only problem I have with the book is that Silver tends to repeat herself a lot. There were multiple times where you read the same time over and over again. The ending came kind of fast as well, maybe a little bit rushed. But other than that, it's a thoroughly enjoyable book.
