Forget Anne Rice and Poppy Z. Brite -- Rusch's vampires are both seedy and hip, ambitious and gluttonous, and never averse to a little kinky sex. In Wisconsin, young Camilla works for the Westrina Center -- an agency that legally eradicates vampires. During a routine operation, she is shocked to discover a young child living with her vampiric 'daddy.'
