Lucy Donner is very worried about her 13 year old son's latest escapade and the sentence the judge is about to hand down. When the judge assigns Nick community service with a local veterinarian she is relieved. But, that is before she realizes that this will bring her into daily contact with the aging surfer dude that hit on her right after she moved to town. She has no idea that Nick and the judge plotted the whole thing to get her and the judge's son, Logan, into a romantic relationship. Both have had one previous marriage fail, and are afraid of getting seriously involved with anyone else. But, Nick is determined that his Mom and Logan get married. Cute read.

Teen son Nick cooks up a plan with the local judge to get his mom and the judges son teogether. It is a really neat way to get two marriage phobic people together. I fell in love with the whole crew myself.. Can it work out the way Nick wants???

Thirteen-year-old Nick Donner hacks into his school's computer, which brings him in front of Judge Kincaid, who sentences the teen to community service at the animal clinic run by his son Logan. Nick deliberately caused trouble because he worries about his single overworked mom Lucy being alone except for him and feels that the veterinarian is perfect for her since he is so kind to animals. He will do what it takes including harmless mischief if necessary to bring this couple together.

However, Nick does not understand the adults he is matching together. His mom fears allowing any male except her son inside her heart. His chosen dad rejects commitment. Still as Nick and the Judge partner, Lucy and Logan keep finding themselves together and their initial attraction is growing.
