I adored this book. The characters really came alive for me, their problems tugged at my heart and their happiness thrilled me to no end. The erotic scenes were truly amazing.(The warning on the back is definitely a necessity.) While all the erotic scenes might not have been my 'thing' they were written in a way that allowed me to understand the characters enjoyment. In some books in the past I've come away thinking "Why would anyone enjoy that?" with this book I went "OH, duh, I get it now!" LOL.
I actually bought this book at the bookstore and feel it was well worth the cover price. I will be searching for more books by this author as soon as i hit the Submit Review button. Cheers.

Mmm, mmm-mmm! I just looove historical romance/erotica. To call this book hot is a mistake - it is one of the most erotic books I have ever read, and honey, I've read A LOT. The storyline is good - believeable; the characters are interesting, flawed, and very human. The motivation behind the character development is realistic. And the sex scenes are so well written, you think you're there. This goes on my keeper shelf; it's that good. Go buy your own.

Loved this book just as much as the first one! I love historical erotica, especially if there is some emotion behind all the sex. I feel these characters were believable and likeable, and I actually cared about them. I also love tortured heroes, and both Peter and Valentin fulfill that role. The sex scenes were HOT, but not over-the-top. I also like that the hero from the first book still has unresolved issues that show up in this book. Great stuff! I am eagerly awaiting the rest of this series, and so far, the first two are on my keeper shelf!

WOW - this book is HOT HOT HOT.... there is sex, sex, and ummmmm, more sex in this steamy story. I have NEVER read historical books. Just not my thing. But if I could find more period books like this one I would absolutely start investing in more!!!!

Wow! that's about I need to say about this book, although I will continue. I had no idea there was a book before this one, but Oh My I must say It's on my to get list! =)
