I was a little surprised in this book only because it has a nice ending.

Didn't like as well as the others in the series. But still good.

Lisette and Gabriel were unusual characters who made an engaging couple. There's a lot going on with Gabriel. He was a vulnerable man with a tragic childhood who tried to subdue his submissive sexual tendencies for the sake of having a more traditional marriage. Lisette, however, was sexually adventurous, and they shared some very exciting encounters at the Pleasure House. She showed instances of immaturity, and I didn't care for some of the emotional games she played with Gabriel even if they were unintentional. Ultimately, it was fine story about the growth of a couple and their relationship. 4 stars.
