Historical Romance. Great read about an Englishman sent to London by his French guardian to return his married daughter to Paris because he feels her husband may be mistreating her. His reward would be an estate and another daughter in marriage. The task begins inauspiciously as he is attacked, his gold stolen, and his leg broken. Nice twist of events.
