A biography of previous biographies, though semi-interesting of an idea it was not what I had bargained for when reading the book. I feel like I know more about Ted Hughes' sister than I do the two poets themselves.

This is basically a biography of the Sylvia Plath biographies - which in and of itself is a very interesting premise. It's also a look inside biography as a genre and how biographies come about being written and published. If you're looking to learn more about Sylvia Plath, this is not the book for you. But if you've read several of her biographies already (having read her "Letters Home" and "Journals" helps also), you will hopefully appreciate this book more.
