Karla Brown was everybody's all-American dream girl. And her dream was coming true, as she and her fiance readied the house where they would live as man and wife.
Then, her body is found in her basement, nude from the waist down. She had been horrendously brutalized.
The investigation takes several years and the 'new' forensic science of bitemark identification before the killer is brought to justice.
An excellent read for true crime fans.

This was a very good book. Karla was killed right after she moved into a new home; in fact, she was still unpacking. This was one of the reasons this case was so baffling to investigators. Even more baffling was the crime scene: the killer had apparently changed Karla's clothes, and she was found on her knees with her head in a bucket of water. The authorities went from having no suspects, to having two suspects, each of whom seemed equally capable of commiting the crime. If not for one single crime-scene photograph, the killer would likely have gotten away with murder. I highly recommend this book!
