M. L. Malcolm has written a historical novel based in part on the history of her family. Malcolm relates the story of a young Hungarian boy who comes of age between the First and Second World Wars and how his gift for languages affects his life and those around him in profound ways. Part romance, part history, part coming of age, "Silent Lies" is a sweeping story of unintended consequences.
