This was Jon Katz's first novel, and having read several other books by him first, it was interesting to see how he would later develop characters from this plot. The book was also good in its own right. If you've ever wondered what happened BEFORE you saw the news on TV, you won't have to wonder any longer. I found myself trying to figure out what would happen next when I was at work and didn't have the book at hand to finish!
