While the formula of the book may be similar to Dan Brown's bestseller, Chris Kuzneski comes up with a surprisingly original thriller. He even pays homage to Dan Brown, when the character Nick Dial, looking for help in the crucifixions, asks, "What do you know about the Bible?" The response is, "More than Dan Brown."
This book is a page turner with more action and suspense than you could ever expect.

Kuzneski writes a very good story. I look for well-developed characters, storylines, plots, settings, etc., and this book has it. His stories keep you interested to the end.

Excellent . Riveting story. On a par with the Da Vinci code.
An excellent plot intertwined with religious and secular history.
I enjoyed this book enough that I'm looking forward to getting the writer's first book...and keeping an eye out for his next one!
Good mystery, suspenseful. Hard to put down

Good pacing...Not predictable.
The concept of this book is realy interesting, but I just couldn't get into it. I found the writing, as well as most of the characterizations, to be tedious.
Sign of the Cross is an excellent read! Nonstop action, but also
makes you think!
makes you think!
I give this author credit for the attempt and for his research but he lost me about half-way thru the novel because its plot became too unbelievable. I prefer my fiction to be somewhat feasible but this one failed that requirement. Had I not gotten so far into the novel, with nothing else readily available to read, I would not have finished it. There are too many other books and so little time. Save yours and read something better.

This story was fast-paced, full of action, mystery, history and a fun entertaining read. Payne and Jones are great characters and add a great deal to the story. Looking forward to my next adventure with these two wonderful characters.

I removed this book from my bookshelf and threw my copy away. The main point of the book besides being an action/suspense book was to discredit the validity of the Bible and Jesus Christ as the risen Son of God. I personally believe that Jesus in the Son Of God and risen from the dead therefore I can't in good conscience pass this book on to other readers who may not be able to read this as "fiction".
