I am a HUGE Sidney Sheldon fan, so was very sad about his passing a few years ago. When I saw that a writer named Tilly Bagshawe was continuing his style and brand, I was eager to check the books out. I read her first one, SIDNEY SHELDON'S MISTRESS OF THE GAME, and enjoyed it well enough, so was interested to read this one, SIDNEY SHELDON'S AFTER THE DARKNESS.
I really enjoyed following Grace's journey, and was on the edge of my seat quite a bit, wondering how things would unfold and who was guilty of what. My only disappointment was with the climactic scene at the end, I felt it was overblown and took away from what would've otherwise been a perfect thriller/espionage/mystery ride!
Nonetheless, it was a good read. I recommend it, and will look out for Tilly Bagshawe's next Sheldon-inspired work. This ending seemed to have a sequel in mind, and I would definitely read it.

Struggled to get through this book, but I did in fact get to the end. The second half is better. The first half of the book, with "princess" Grace -- weak, stupid and pampered -- made me gag. Bagshawe is a terrific writer and I've enjoyed her other works.
Very good story.
couldn't wait to finish it
